My 3D journey started 1999, when i was first introduced to Lightwave 6.0.

As with all new programs, it was overwhelming in the beginning. All the features, all the stuff - and boy did my artwork look ugly too..!

But as time progressed, i developed some skills and today i work professionaly with 3D art & animation.

However, 2005, Daz Productions released their Daz|Studio. A FREE 3D software. Wow! While being buggy in the beginning, Daz|Studio 1.4 is one of my favorites in the 3D jungle.

It loads Poser characters, makes them easy to pose - and the whole interface is easy to use and understand.

I can export the characters back to Lightwave - and for me, this has really made 3D a lot of fun!

Ok, to be honest, this isn´t Lightwave or any other super software - and it doesn't have the same raw power - and it´s not even close to all the features. But, if you are new to 3D - i couldn´t recommend anything better or more easy to use.

I use Daz|Studio all the time, to import Poser figures and pose them before i render either in D|S or Lightwave. I´m always amazed by the ease and speed of the production.
