March 2007 Runner Up: "Rescue", by Bluetoad, LDP Draft Rez.

Motivation: This is a fine example of the LDP put to perfect use. Despite using the Draft Resolution, Bluetoad clearly demonstrates the power with ease.

Bluetoad cleverly hides the Draft Resolutions rough shadows - with outstanding postwork in the shape of rain and smoke/fog.

The mech in the background adds such an amazing impact & depth!

Honorable Mention: "Girl With A Shell", by Frogdot, LDP Medium Rez.

Motivation: There´s something about this render! First of all, it´s simple layout, and clean / open look.

The diagonals from the water edge and the border where the wet sand meets the dry sand, versus the opposite diagonal created by the sun shadow - are brilliant!

Then, we have the sweet girl with a hat and the lonely seashell. This adds a feeling of freedom and calmness. And also points out the power of the small things in life. Congrats Frogdot!
